Glossybox | Stars and Stripes July 2014

Feels like such a long time ago since my last Glossybox, I get so impatient waiting to get my little monthly suprise to pop up at my door! ..sad but true. This months box was a collectors Stars and Stripes edition of American beauty heros.

Here is what I received in my box this month, I will start with the product of the highest value and work my way down..

Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd | Mineral Lipstick (Mandarina)

Not going too lie I was pretty excited to hear there was a Bellapierre lipstick in everyone's box this month I'm a huge fan of Bellapierre, the quality of thier products is just amazing and are soo pigmented! This is my first Orange lipstick! I absolutley love the colour and the scent reminds me alot like that of a Mac lipstick. The card says..'This cult American favorite is formulated with natural waxes, mineral pigments and antioxidants including vitamins C and E, providing long lasting colour and protection against sun' is there anything else you could possibly ask for in a lippy? And to top that these lipsticks are £20 to buy that's the box payed for not just once! ..Twice!!! www.bellapierre.com

Pur Minerals | Dirty Girl Detoxifying Mudd Masque

I am willing to give anything that's good for my skin a try, so I was straight on this Mudd masque. The card says..'Dirty Girl unclogs pores, cleanses skin and gently exvoliates, pascalite clay absorbs impurities from pores while Salicylic acid removes dead skin for a visibly fresher radiant complection' used this once so far, it left my skin super smooth, it has a slight rose scent to it which I like. I do have high hopes for this one as it contains Salicylic acid which is a strong form of acne treatment, hopefully it will come to my skins rescue. I got the sample size in my box the full size product RRP - £18 www.marksandspencer.com

Color Club | Glossy Seal

When I get my nails done at a salon I have noticed them using this brand here and there which to me indicates it must be pretty good quality whilst being long wearing correct me if I'm wrong. This strange but beautiful shade that I would describe as a dirty blue, Is that a bad way to describe it? Probably but it's gorgeous. Anyway the shade was made especially for the July Glossybox which is awesome! The card claims that this polish is made with non toxic, cruelty free ingredients bonus!
RRP $8 15ml shopcolorclub.com

ABSOLUTE New York | Perfecting Eye Shadow Primer

Never heard of this brand before so I'm intrigued. Been wanting to try out an eye shadow primer for so long instead of just using a basic face primer. It's like Glossybox read my mind.. Excited to try this out! The card says..'This oil free, ultra creamy formula evens skin tone around the eye area and keeps eyeshadow crease free and colour true for a lasting look' if it does what it says for the budget price of $4.99 perfect! nicka.com

Carmex | lip balm

Everybody loves a lip balm! The card says..'Loved by celebrities and makeup artists all over the world Carmex is the original lip balm and the only way too sooth dry chapped lips. With menthol camphor and beeswax, lips are nourished, conditioned and protected all year round. You need this as a staple in your bag!' Will probably use before bed to moisturise my lips sounds like good stuff!

Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Kit

Hi honeys!
Yes, I have finally got my hands on the Anastasia Beverley Hills contour kit after waiting for what seems like forever for it to be re-stocked! I've had my eye on this for so long! after hearing my favourite beauty gurus rave about this over YouTube and seeing it used in many amazing tutorials! The looks created with this were flawless and I was intrigued, I absolutley love contouring! But had never used powder to do so, due to high demand i figured this must be big for a reason (I'm easily sucked in like that) so I joined the waiting list on cult beauty for it to come back in stock, super duper excited to create different looks with this!

The pallete contains 6 powder shades 3 for contouring and 3 for highlighting, helping to sculpt and define your facial features, emphasising eyes, chiseling cheek bones and adding shape to nose, jawline and forehead. The pans are removeable so you don't have to repurchase the whole pallete when your low on certain shades. The refill pans are available to buy separately online at anastasia.net

Top from left; Vanilla, Banana, Sand
Bottom from Left; Java, Fawn, Havana

Vanilla; Pink based highlight for brightening dark areas on lighter skin tones.
Banana; Yellow based highlight for brightening up dark areas on warmer skin tones. A lot like Ben Nye Banana powder which I also love!
Sand; Shimmer based highlight for adding a subtle glow on top of cheekbones, Cupid's bow and brow bone.

Java; Medium warm toned brown.
Fawn; Lightest contour shade, beige/taupe colour.
Havana; Warm toned brown with red undertones.

The powders are amazing quality! Each shade is highly pigmented and so finely milled they apply like a dream and are so easy to blend out

So far I think my prefered shades will be Banana and Havana as I love a strong contrast in my contour though I am still having a play around with it to find what colours I feel suit me best. As with anything it depends on skin tone, this pallete pretty much caters for anyone.

Anastasia Beverley Hills contour palletes are never around for long so get orders in girls! It's back in stock now online at www.cultbeauty.co.uk

What are your favourite products to contour?

Have you tried any of Anastasia's products?

DIY Ombré Mani♡

Hi girls, this post is a little step by step guide on how to create this pretty summer nail look for yourself. My nails are falsies in this post as my natural nails aren't in the best of health after removing my acrylics though you can create the exact same look with natural nails.
The nail varnish I used was gel/shellac personal preferance, though normal nail varnish will work just as good Barry m do a great range! And the colour variety is huge!

What you will need;
• Nail buffer
• Nail varnish (3 shades, I chose coral pink, baby pink and lilac)
• Glitter link HERE
• Base coat & Top coat
(I recomend a gel based top coat as it's thicker and covers over glitter better)

Step 1; Buff each nail with a nail buffer, this removes any oil from the nail and creates a coarse surface helping polish to last longer without lifting.

Step 2; Apply base coat to each nail allowing to dry before continuing on to step 3.

Step 3; Apply the lightest colour as a base on each nail for this I used pale pink..

Step 4; When the base colour has dried a little start from the bottom of each nail applying the lighter colour first working your way up the nail to the middle shade then to the deepest using gentle up and down motions to blend the colours in to each other as you go along.

Step 5; When partly dry but still tacky lightly tap on the glitter, make sure the glitter used is not to thick as you don't want to completely cover the design over.

Step 6; Apply top coat, 2 coats if desired.

And tadaaa pretty summer ombré nails!

If you try out this nail look i would love to see so make sure you tweet me your pics @xx_tashh
