DIY Ombré Mani♡

Hi girls, this post is a little step by step guide on how to create this pretty summer nail look for yourself. My nails are falsies in this post as my natural nails aren't in the best of health after removing my acrylics though you can create the exact same look with natural nails.
The nail varnish I used was gel/shellac personal preferance, though normal nail varnish will work just as good Barry m do a great range! And the colour variety is huge!

What you will need;
• Nail buffer
• Nail varnish (3 shades, I chose coral pink, baby pink and lilac)
• Glitter link HERE
• Base coat & Top coat
(I recomend a gel based top coat as it's thicker and covers over glitter better)

Step 1; Buff each nail with a nail buffer, this removes any oil from the nail and creates a coarse surface helping polish to last longer without lifting.

Step 2; Apply base coat to each nail allowing to dry before continuing on to step 3.

Step 3; Apply the lightest colour as a base on each nail for this I used pale pink..

Step 4; When the base colour has dried a little start from the bottom of each nail applying the lighter colour first working your way up the nail to the middle shade then to the deepest using gentle up and down motions to blend the colours in to each other as you go along.

Step 5; When partly dry but still tacky lightly tap on the glitter, make sure the glitter used is not to thick as you don't want to completely cover the design over.

Step 6; Apply top coat, 2 coats if desired.

And tadaaa pretty summer ombré nails!

If you try out this nail look i would love to see so make sure you tweet me your pics @xx_tashh
