MAYBELLINE Dream Pure 8-in-1 BB Cream

Hi girls, I have finally pushed myself to switch up my daily full coverage foundation for something a little more natural for the summer months. All who know me well enough will know that this is a "dun dun dunnn!" moment at its best!

Since returning from my holiday in Spain I realised that exposing my skin to the sun had really taken it's toll on the way my skin looked and felt. My holy grail mac studio fix started to apply really cakey even after a light application & I've been getting these small raised bumps under my skin on my temples (not the slightest bit attractive) and My attempt to cover them over with foundation only resulted in them standing out more.

I have always passed up BB creams in the past being a more full coverage kind of girl. But I was helpless and my skin needed a break! I had a little scout around boots and came across Maybelline dream pure 8-in-1 BB Cream a blemish fighting BB that claims to..
1. Conceal imperfections
2. Helps protect against appearance of blemishes.
3. Oil-free, non-greasy.
4. Minimises the appearance of pores.
5. Clarifies the skins appearance.
6. Reduces redness.
7. Smoothes & hydrates.
8. Complements skin tone

This product contains 2% Salicylic Acid, the highest percent of blemish fighter used in a BB Cream. Yet the formula is gentle enough to use everyday. I would reccomend using a moisturiser before application as this product is oil free and can be quite drying when used alone.
Overall I feel a BB Cream is a perfect pick for summer and may have been converted to a more natural everyday look, I'm shocked at how lightweight it feels on my skin and don't feel as though my face will melt off when out in the sun! contains SPF 15 just like my mac studio fix and I'm in the shade Medium.

 Light Brown

I have acrylics done a lot of the time so as for mani's mainly salon, I shellac them myself along with pedicure love having pretty nails!

6. How often do you change your nail polish?
Shellac lasts up to 2 weeks, so I normally change up the the colour every time I take it off.

7. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just summer?
Always! Toes are ugly without polish:)

Around half hour to an hour, depending on where I'm going.

Not everyday, I barely wear any around the house.

Not a scrap? No, makeup is like my comfort blanket! I couldn't go completely bare faced.

14. How many high end products do you have?
I think I own more high end products than drugstore, I'm a firm believer of quality over quantity when it comes to base products such as foundations/concealer, lipsticks are mostly high end picks for me too.

If only I was that organised!

I'm normally in bed by 10.30 and up by  about  7.

When I was younger I would love going to my nan's house to play makeovers, I would have her emptying all her makeup drawers out to do my makeup & hair! Growing up my passion for makeup and hair has grown even stronger and in my eyes you never need an excuse to look glam! My nan would always call me a little dolly bird and still does now and here we have Dollybirdglam.

Drugstore - L'oreal / Elf
High End - Mac

Has to be skin care, im not the kindest to my skin at the minute.
need to get myself into some sort of routine! after all the key to makeup is having a good base to begin with.
28. How organised is your makeup/nail polish collection?
i am probably one of the most disorganised people ever when it comes to my makeup and nail polish collection at the minute, due to the fact i am currently having my beautyroom  renivated though i have big plans for my storage and organisation to come.
29. Why did you start blogging and how long have you been doing it for?
i started blogging due to my love for makeup, fashion & anything beauty related, my makeup collection is fast growing and what better way justify what i spend than to be able to share my passions and interests in the beauty community interacting with people who share the same interests and take an interest into what i have to say. i am pretty new on the blogging front, i have only been blogging for 3months and i wish now i had started sooner. I love learning things from other bloggers and on youtube and i hope that i am able to inspire people in the same way. blogging is definatly a hobby to me, something i can enjoy doing with my spare time to keep myself busy.

Hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about me and my blog, feel free to get involved! And leave any comments below:)

L'OREAL tecniART root spray mousse | VOLUME LIFT

During the last few years of working in a hair salon L'OREAL tecniART root spray mousse had to be mine and the other stylists go to hair product when it comes to creating volume. And was used on virtually every client on a daily. The product is so easy to work with, with it's small thin nosle for a more precise application directly on to the roots creating natural voluminous results, whilst preventing wastage and keeping the lengths of the hair cleaner for longer without weighing down the ends. This and a small amount of back combing is all limp hair needs for days of effortless flexible body! L'OREAL tecniART root spray moose is deffinatly a staple product that will never leave my hair styling routine. I've tried a good few but nothing compares! I use it on my own hair almost every time I blowdry. For best results apply (only to roots) to damp towel dried hair before styling. I get mine from my local salon retail warehouse RRP £8.99+vat which I believe works out around £10 and It's worth every penny!
I haven't known of this product to be sold in shops but you can purchase yours online HERE

Almost forgetting to mention they have recently changed up their packaging the pictures in this post being the 'new' packaging where as the product on the link appears to be the older one. Both will contain the same product to prevent confusion:)

Feel free to leave any comments and questions below if you have any♡
